Cannabis Hemp was the world's original agricultural crop for over 2000 years producing up to 80% of all textiles and fibres.Hemp cultivation was endorsed and encouraged by governments until prohibition in the 1930's.
Hemp is a valuable food(Rich in amino acids and brain-enhancing EFA's:),fuel,shelter,clothing and textile source which is cultivated without the use of toxic chemicals and pesticides. Hemp cloth has the added benefit of repelling up to 95% of UV rays compared with other natural textiles.
Hemp when compared to cotton is softer, warmer in winter, cooler in summer, more water absorbent and has 3x the tensile strength. A truly sustainable crop indeed!
