Oopps!

If I inspired you to make your own healthy and delicious culinary creations the additional serving of a nourishing and delicious cold-pressed oil is helpful! Hemp and flax(aka linseed:) would be great for the omega 3 EFAs.

Live Curry Anyone?!!!

Referring to the DIY home remedies recipes in the previous post. Peppermint essential oil may be a little overpowering, Geranium or Rose absolute / Otto would balance things out to give this delightful spray an additional mind, body and soul boost(Geranium is a great balancing oil and perfect for all face / body care preparations:). By all means feel free to experiment!

When I prepare food I tend to intuitively guess amounts etc. , thus I don't tend to follow recipes(Have the fun:)this dish is no exception.

Experimental 'live' vegetable curry dish as tested by Vijay who loves it as much as I do(And I love my curries and hot 'n' spicy too:)!

Chickpea sprouts
Red onions(raw)
Carrot(raw)
Tomato(raw)
Fresh ginger
Little Garlic
Chili Pwd / Turmeric / cumin / Coriander / Himalayan rock salt AKA Cilantro etc.
Raw sweet pointed cabbage to serve(Great tasting curry base:)

Process ginger, garlic into a paste, add rest of spices / carrots / tomatoes / sprouted chickpeas(Try to keep the latter a chunky consistency for texture:)

Serve on the sweet cabbage leaves(Can use any leafy green:) and enjoy!

The beauty of this basic recipe is that it can be adapted to tastes as no dish is the same and therefore it's the creator's unique recipe!

As with all curries it tastes wonderful the next day too:)

Namaste!

Calling all Brighton Belles!

When in town, head to West street in Brighton and pop into the Terraplanta shop now! Peopletree have recently set up a pop up shop there(Their first in the UK:). May I also add that there are some summer steals to be found at:

www.peopletree.co.uk (which includes a chance to win some fab ethical footwear too:)

Summer tips

If you can't stand the heat invest in some pure peppermint essential oil(dilute with a base oil or water for a refreshing spray:).

For a simple, effective and completely natural insect / mozzie repellent dilute some citronella and eucalyptus(Not just for koalas you know:) essential oil with a base oil(almond, sesame, coconut etc.) and apply when needed!

Enjoy summer 2009!

The Game of Life and How to Play it!

Realise that great and great achievement involve great risks.

When you lose, don't lose the lesson.

Follow the 3R's: Respect for self, respect for others and responsibility for your actions.

Remember! Not getting what you want is a stroke of luck.

Learn the rules so you know how to break them properly.

Don't let a little dispute injure a great relationship.

When you realise you've made a mistake, move to correct it immediately.

Spend time alone everyday.

Open your arms to change, but don't let go o your values.

Remember! Silence is the best answer!

Life a good honourable life, then when you get older and look back you'll enjoy it a second time!

A loving atmosphere at home is the foundations of your life.

In disagreements with loved ones, deal only with the current situation. Don't bring up the past.

Share your knowledge, it is a way to achieve immortality.

Be gentle with the Earth.

Once a year go somewhere where you've never been before.

Remember that the best relationships is where your love for each other exceeds your need for each other.

Judge your success by what you had to give up in order to get it.
